Inform your Family and Friends

After the engagement day, many of the family members and friends will ask when will be the wedding day. Some couples may want to have more quality time being engaged, but there will also be some who already wants to decide for the big day.

Once the couple have decided on the date, they must let their respective families know about it first, before their friends, as a sign of respect. Decision-making for wedding matters will no doubt be difficult. So by informing their family, they can now easily check it out of their checklists, and move on to the next. Plus, it would be easier to choose ideas for the wedding if their family and friends impart something that can help with the decision.

After informing the family, many filipino superstitious beliefs will come the couple’s way as well. They should not let the collection of cultures and traditions confuse them. Although there is also no harm in obeying with those. After all, wedding preparations are always fun and exciting when family and friends are involved.

Kaninong Ninong? Kaninong Ninang?

What are your criteria when choosing your wedding’s principal sponsors? Usually, it’s all about the ‘connection’ factor. Some opt to get family, relatives, and close friends, some consider those who are in leadership and authority. They could be your boss or your parent’s boss, your career mentor, or life coach. There are those who choose the popular and the able. Whoever is it, make sure you choose the one who is willing to play the role of a second parent to you and your partner. Someone who will be accountable to both of you, willing to offer not just material but emotional and spiritual blessings as well.
